Some examinations ask for the Elimora Examination Monitor to run beside the examination page. Install it once on the Windows computer you will sit on: it opens by itself when a paper needs it, and stops when you hand in.
For a Windows computer, the one you will sit the examination on. It is free, and the same app works for every school.
Windows 10 or 11, 64-bit. No administrator password needed.
Once per computer. It takes a couple of minutes.
Download the installer
Press Download for Windows. Your browser saves Elimora-Examination-Monitor-Setup-x64.exe to your Downloads folder.
Run it
Open the file. It installs for your account only, so it does not ask for an administrator password.
If Windows warns you
Until Elimora's installer is code-signed, Windows may show "Windows protected your PC". Check that you downloaded it from this page, then choose More info and Run anyway.
Finish
The installer adds Elimora Examination Monitor to your Start menu. You do not have to open it yourself: your examination opens it when it is needed.

Open your paper
Open the examination on Elimora in your browser, on the same computer.
Open the app
Press Open the Examination Monitor. When your browser asks whether to open it, allow it.
Type the code
The app shows six digits. Type them on the examination page.
Agree
Read what will be recorded and press Allow monitoring for this examination.
Start
When the checks pass, your paper starts. Leave the app running; it stops by itself when you hand in.
Five things that keep a monitored paper from pausing.
Install it a day early
Install it on the computer you will use, then open it once from the Start menu. It should say "Waiting for an examination".
Set the clock to automatic
Turn on automatic date and time. The app will not connect when the clock is more than two minutes out.
Power and internet
Plug in your charger and use a steady connection. If the app loses touch during the paper it is noted for your examiner, and on some papers your time pauses until it is back.
Screens
If you use a second screen, connect it before you start, not during. A change of screens is noted for your examiner.
A managed computer
It installs for your own account and needs no administrator password. If your school's computer blocks installing apps, ask whoever looks after it to install it for you.
Plainly, before you install anything.
It does nothing until you open it from an examination page, and stops by itself the moment you hand in. It is not a background service and does not start with your computer.
It shows the examination, your school and exactly what will be recorded, and waits for you to agree. Your school chose the rules for each paper.
No camera, no microphone, no keystrokes and no files. Screenshots of your screen, if the paper takes them, go privately to your examiners and are deleted after the period your school set.

When you no longer sit monitored papers on this computer.
Open Settings, Apps, Installed apps. Find Elimora Examination Monitor, open its menu and choose Uninstall. Its settings are removed with it.
